About Zahra Martinez, Au.D.

Dr. Zahra Martinez earned her Doctor of Audiology degree, (Au.D.) Summa Cum Laude in 2023 from Arizona State University. She graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Italian from CUNY Queens College in 2018.  

Dr. Martinez gained her clinical experience from a variety of settings, starting at the ASU Speech & Hearing Clinic at Arizona State University as a doctoral intern and transitioning to various medical and private audiology practices throughout Arizona and Queens, NY. Dr. Martinez completed her fourth-year audiology externship in 2023 with ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP in Lake Success, prior to joining ENT and Allergy Associates as a full-time audiologist. 

Dr. Martinez has experience in comprehensive audiological evaluations for all patient populations from pediatric to geriatric. Her special interests include diagnostic audiology using various methods including vestibular and electrophysiologic testing. As well, as the management of hearing loss with hearing aid technology and counseling patients on their use and other amplification devices.

In April 2022, Dr. Martinez presented her first poster at the American Academy of Audiology Conference, titled, “Comparison of Auditory Brainstem Responses Elicited with Tone Bursts and Narrowband CE Chirp Stimuli in Adults”. This poster focused on studying the relationship between ABR wave V thresholds and behavioral thresholds and comparing ABRs obtained with tone bursts versus NB CE chirps while analyzing the correlations. 
Dr. Martinez is a New York State licensed Audiologist.
