About Stefan Mlot, MD, FACS
Stefan Mlot, MD, FACS, is a board-certified otolaryngologist and fellowship-trained head and neck surgeon. Dr. Mlot specializes in the treatment of head and neck cancer, thyroid and parathyroid tumors, salivary gland disorders, and obstructive sleep apnea. He also sees patients for the full spectrum of ENT issues. Of importance to him is providing superb care in a manner that emphasizes quality of life and survivorship. He performs surgeries at White Plains Hospital.
Dr. Mlot graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina, where he also earned his Doctorate of Medicine. He matriculated to the New York Presbyterian program for his residency, where his clinical training was completed at Columbia University Medical Center, Weill-Cornell Medical Center, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Mlot then received fellowship training in head and neck surgery at the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he was awarded for his research in the socioeconomic determinants of outcomes in head and neck cancer treatment. He was previously employed as Chief of Robotic and Microvascular Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he was awarded the departmental faculty teaching award. He has presented research at national and regional conferences and has authored articles in multiple medical journals and textbooks.
