About Roheen Raithatha, MD, FACS, FARS
Dr. Roheen Raithatha graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and received his Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia & Cornell Campus)/ Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and then went on to complete a Fellowship in Advanced Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, NY.
Dr. Raithatha is glad to see patients for any Ear, Nose, and Throat disorders but please note that he is a rhinologist and primarily sees patients with sinus and nasal issues as he has extra specialization in both medical and surgical treatments of sinus and nasal conditions, including nasal obstruction, chronic rhinitis, snoring, epistaxis, acute and chronic sinusitis, nasal allergies, deviated nasal septum, enlarged turbinates, and sinonasal and skull base tumors.
His surgical specialties include: septoplasty/turbinate surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery (including image-guided sinus surgery), revision (re-do) sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty (in-office or in the operating room), nasal polyps, fungal sinusitis, nasal and sinus tumors, endoscopic skull base surgery, repair of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks, and endoscopic orbital surgery.
Dr. Raithatha, who has helped thousands of patients overcome their sinus and nasal problems, is at the forefront of sinus and nasal technological advances including office-based options for treating nasal issues like chronic rhinitis with devices like Clarifix, Rhinaer, Neuromark and treating nasal airway obstruction with Vivaer and turbinate reduction procedures. He also offers Sinuva (an office-based steroid implant) and biologics (like Dupixent and Nucala) for treating recurrent nasal polyps. He performs a lot of office-based sinus and nasal procedures to help keep patients out of the operating room.
Dr. Raithatha is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He has authored numerous book chapters and articles that have appeared in peer-reviewed journals and has been invited to give lectures at multiple Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery courses. He has also made academic presentations at the national level to many professional societies. He is an active member of the American Rhinologic Society, North American Skull Base Society, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is currently on faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is the Chairman of the ENT & Allergy Advanced Sinus/Skull Base Center. Advanced Sinus/Skull Base Services ?
