About Paul Bell, MD
Paul Arnold Bell, M.D. received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He then went on to Albany Medical College for his medical training where he earned the prestigious McGraw-Hill Award for academic excellence, given to the top 2 students in the class. He was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society with the extra distinction of being inducted one year earlier than usual.
Dr. Bell did his general surgery internship and sub-specialty training in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Stonybrook University Hospital where he consistently ranked in the top 1% in the Nation on the annual in-service training exam. During his training he became an expert in the full spectrum of contemporary otolaryngology. He is fluent in many pediatric ENT ailments including sino-nasal disorders, the care of the special needs child, and the surgical management of chronic sinusitis in children with Cystic fibrosis. His other areas of interest include laryngology, the management of snoring and sleep apnea, and the medical/surgical management of chronic sinusitis utilizing CT guidance and is certified in balloon sinuplasty.
Dr. Bell is a member of numerous organizations including the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Long Island Society of Otolaryngology, New York Medical society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and he is now a part of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology and cares for pediatric and adult patients. When he is not in the office or operating room, he enjoys, quality time with his wife and three young children, music, cooking and chess.
