About Michela Sguera, Au.D.
Michela Sguera, Au.D., CCC-A is a New York State licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology.
Dr. Sguera earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Connecticut (UConn) in May 2017 and then continued her education by completing her Clinical Doctorate degree in Audiology from the Long Island Au.D. Consortium of Adelphi, Hofstra, and St. John’s Universities.
Dr. Sguera gained her clinical experiences in a variety of settings, beginning with internal clinical rotations at the Universities of Adelphi, St. John’s, and Hofstra. She went on to complete external clinical rotations at Long Island ENT Associates, Jacob Medical Center, and Advanced Audiology of NY. Dr. Sguera completed her fourth-year clinical externship with ENT and Allergy Associates, prior to coming on as a full-time clinical Doctor of Audiology.
She specializes in diagnostic testing for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations as well as vestibular and electrophysiological testing, including Videonystagmography (VNG), Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs), Electrocochleography (ECochG) and Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR). Additionally, she is proficient in the management of hearing loss with advanced hearing aid technology.
