Dr. Bergstein is now performing “Balloon Sinuplasty” a new state of the art technique that allows for the opening of the blocked sinuses without the need for conventional surgery. This atraumatic procedure allows patients to return to work within days with virtually no discomfort.

Dr. Bergstein, who has helped thousands of patients overcome their sinus problems is fortunate to be among the first in the area to offer a new breakthrough medical device for patient’s suffering from chronic sinusitis. Dr. Bergstein now offers the Propel implant as part of his treatment options.  The Propel implant is the only device in the industry backed by Level 1A evidence and proven to enhance and significantly improve outcomes.   When placed in the sinus following surgery, PROPEL decreases scarring and inflammation, reducing the need for additional surgical procedures as well as  oral steroids and their potential side effects. For more information, please watch the video below.

The spring-like PROPEL implant props open the ethmoid sinus to maintain the surgical opening, delivers an anti-inflammatory medication directly to the sinus lining, and then dissolves, avoiding the need for removal.
