About Michael Tom, MD, FACS
Dr. Michael Tom, a California native, attended the University of Southern California, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude. He graduated from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT and received the Upjohn Achievement Award.
He completed two years of surgery residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, and completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, including Pediatric training at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Otology training with the House Ear Clinic.
He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Tom has been practicing with ENT and Allergy Associates since 1993. He is Chief of Otolaryngology at St. John’s Riverside Hospital, and is also on the medical staff at St. John’s Riverside Hospital, Montefiore New Rochelle, White Plains Hospital, and Mount Sinai Hospital.
He specializes in General Adult and Pediatric otolaryngology, nasal and sinus surgery, with expertise in endoscopic sinus surgery, using the latest technologies including image guidance and balloon dilation of sinuses.
