About Jennifer Diaz, MD
Jennifer M. Diaz, MD, a native of Suffolk County, graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Boston College, after which she spent a year in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) research training program in Bethesda, Maryland. She went on to earn her Medical Degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She then served her Pediatric Internship and Residency at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System at the Steven & Alexander Cohen Children’s Medical Center of NY. After her residency, she was appointed Chief Resident in the Division of Pediatrics.
She was then the recipient of a competitive NIH grant to complete her Allergy and Immunology fellowship training at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System with a focus on obesity and its effects on asthma.
Dr. Diaz is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, and is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI),Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society (LIAAS), New York Allergy and Asthma Society (NYAAS). In addition, she has authored and contributed to a number of professional publications and presentations at national conferences.
Dr. Diaz has experience in treating both adults and children with a wide range of allergic diseases ranging from asthma and allergic rhinitis to food allergy and atopic dermatitis. She is proficient in epidermal and intradermal allergen testing, food challenges, drug desensitizations, as well as immunotherapy preparation and administration.
