About David Temmermand, DO

Dr. David Temmermand is trained in Otolaryngology & Facial Plastic Surgery, and fellowship trained in Head and Neck Endocrine surgery. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland – College Park. He then returned to his native South Jersey to earn a Master’s degree from UMDNJ in Biomedical Sciences and then his DO degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine.

He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery & Facial Plastic Surgery from Rowan University SOM. During his residency he received his training in Head & Neck oncology at world-class Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City. Dr. Temmermand treats all aspects of ear, nose, and throat conditions but his passion lies in treating thyroid and parathyroid disorders.

With a strong interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, Dr. Temmermand spent an additional 12 months training with master surgeon, Dr. David Terris. Well-known as one of the most influential and respected thyroid/parathyroid surgeons in the world, Dr. Terris taught Dr. Temmermand to be his prodigy.

This training allowed Dr. Temmermand to perfect his surgical skills and clinical acumen. He mastered minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery while performing surgery on over 400 patients with a myriad of thyroid and parathyroid conditions. He specializes in all surgical disorders of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, but excels in minimally invasive approaches to complex cases such as cancers, non-localizing parathyroid adenomas, and reoperative surgery.

Well liked by his patients, Dr. Temmermand combines his training in holistic, patient centered care with his surgical mastery to provide superior surgical care right here in South Jersey.
