Areeka Tiwari, Au.D., earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Spanish from St. John’s University in 2014. Dr. Tiwari received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Long Island Consortium (Adelphi, Hofstra and St. John’s Universities) in May 2018. Dr. Tiwari also completed her Master of Business Administration in 2023. 

Prior to completing her 4th year audiology externship with ENT and Allergy Associates, Dr. Tiwari trained as a doctoral intern at St. John’s, Adelphi and Hofstra Universities, Mill Neck Services Center for Hearing Health, The Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery of Mount Sinai West and the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System. During her graduate career, she also attended an audiological mission trip to Trinidad & Tobago to provide hearing healthcare to hundreds of underprivileged patients of all ages.

Dr. Tiwari joined ENT and Allergy Associates as an audiologist in 2018. She performs audiological evaluations and dispenses hearing aids for patients across the life span from pediatric to geriatric population. She also performs evaluations for vestibular disorders as well as electrophysiological tests.  

In May 2020, Dr. Tiwari published her first article to the Journal of Educational, Pediatric & (Re)Habilitative Audiology entitled Hearing Aid Effect on Self and Peer Perception in Children With and Without Hearing Loss. This article focuses on the social stigma associated with wearing amplification and the challenges that are paired with the stigma.

Dr. Tiwari is a licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser in the state of New York. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
