1. Practice proper vocal hygiene: - Drinking a lot of water can help keep your vocal cords healthy and lubricated. - Avoid caffeine and alcohol that can dehydrate the vocal cords. - Stop smoking and protect your voice from irritants like secondhand smoke.

2. Use proper vocal technique: - Using good posture can support optimal vocal production. - Try to avoid excessive yelling that can strain your voice. - Use breath control and diaphragmatic breathing techniques when projecting your voice.

3. Warm up and cool down your voice: - Use vocal exercises to warm up your voice before singing or public speaking. - After prolonged use, cool down your voice by resting and engaging in gentle vocal exercises.

4. Let your voice take a rest: - Resting your vocal cords can prevent vocal fatigue. - Take breaks when speaking or singing excessively.
