About Kelly Whelan, Au.D., CCC-A
Kelly Whelan, Au.D., CCC-A, earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Long Island Consortium (Adelphi, Hofstra, and St. John’s Universities) in May 2021. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Spanish from Adelphi University in 2017.
Prior to joining ENT and Allergy Associates as a 4th year extern, Dr. Whelan trained as a doctoral intern at Adelphi University, St. John’s University, and Hofstra University. She also spent time training as a doctoral extern at the St. Albans VA Medical Center, ENT and Allergy Associates in Melville, and NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn. In January 2020, Dr. Whelan participated in a mission trip where she helped provide hearing health care to thousands of patients in El Salvador. After completing her 4th year audiology residency, she joined ENT and Allergy Associates as a full-time audiologist.
Dr. Whelan’s clinical rotations have provided her with the knowledge and skills to work with patients across the lifespan, from the pediatric population to the geriatric population, as well as the difficult-to-test population. She is proficient in both audiological diagnostic testing and vestibular diagnostic testing. In addition, Dr. Whelan specializes in the management of hearing loss through the dispensing of advanced technology hearing aids.
Dr. Whelan is a licensed Doctor of Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispenser in the state of New York. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American-Speech-Language-and-Hearing Association (ASHA).
