About Lee Shangold, MD, FACS
Lee M. Shangold, MD FACS graduated from SUNY – Upstate Medical School in 1986. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, and became Board Certified in 1992.
Dr. Shangold treats all aspects of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. His areas of special interest include both pediatric and adult sleep medicine and allergy. He is one of approximately 200 otolaryngologists in this country who are also boarded in Sleep Medicine through the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also the Medical Director of Night and Day Sleep's Staten Island lab.
Dr. Shangold is also an active member of the New York State Society of Sleep Medicine as well as a course instructor for the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery annual meeting on the topic of sleep medicine. He is the co-director of 2 different sleep labs on Long Island. In addition, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.
