About Darsit Shah, MD
Darsit Shah, MD was an associate at Central Jersey Otolaryngology since 1999. Prior to his training, Dr. Shah completed the prestigious Six Year Accelerated Medical Program graduating Suma Cum Laude at Hahnemann University Medical School. He did his residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center with particular emphasis in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery. He then completed a subspecialty fellowship at the Michigan Ear Institute in Otology and Neuro-Otology. Previously, he was in practice in New York with staff and academic affiliations with Mt. Sinai Medical Center from 1996-1999. He has been board-certified in Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery since 1997. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications and continues to be active in research and teaching. Dr. Shah is an assistant clinical Professor at Drexel University Medical School. He is the Co-Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Center at Monmouth Medical Center. He also formerly served as the Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology at Monmouth Medical Center. His special area of interests includes Head and Neck Oncology, Thyroid and Parathyroid disease management, and the treatment of acute and chronic ear disease. Dr. Shah has been recognized for excellence in medicine by New Jersey Top Docs (2007-2013), Metro NY (2011-2013), New Jersey Top Cancer Doctors (2012-2013), and local and national news publications.
