About Christopher Song, MD, FACS
Dr. Christopher Song transitioned into private practice from full-time academic practice at SUNY Downstate Medical Center where he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology. Dr. Song is board certified in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Within the specialty of Otolaryngology, Dr. Song has a keen interest in diseases of the ears as well as hearing loss, pediatrics, acid reflux management, and diseases of the nose & sinuses – including snoring and allergies.
Although Dr. Song has successfully performed all aspects of ear, nose, and throat surgery – his experience has been that many cases can be satisfactorily treated without surgery. Similarly, in this environment of medication over-prescription – even with their side-effects, Dr. Song favors minimizing the use of antibiotics as well as other prescription medications, whenever clinically appropriate. He thus emphasizes the least harmful / most effective therapies, including non-surgical management, whenever possible and only escalates when there are no other reasonable options.
Dr. Song has been recognized by Castle Connolly as a “Top Doctor” in Brooklyn.
