About Yana Vertsman, AuD, CCC-A, F-AAA

Dr. Yana Vertsman earned her Doctorate of Audiology from the Long Island Au.D. Consortium of St. John’s, Adelphi and Hofstra. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders as well as a minor in Psychology from Pace University.

Dr. Vertsman trained as a doctoral intern at St. John’s, Adelphi and Hofstra Universities, two private practices, and the Center for Hearing and Communication. While earning her doctorate, she worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital performing newborn hearing screenings. She completed her residency at Columbia University Medical Center where she gained experience in audiological and vestibular assessments, hearing aid fittings, cochlear implants and bone-anchored hearing aids. She worked with pediatric, adult, geriatric and the special needs population. While at Columbia, she conducted research which was presented at the American Auditory Society Conference. Prior to joining ENT and Allergy Associates, Dr. Vertsman was a clinical audiologist at a private practice in Staten Island, responsible for all audiological assessments and hearing aid fittings as the sole audiologist at the practice.

Dr. Vertsman performs audiological evaluations for patients across the life span. She also performs specialized evaluations such as vestibular assessments for dizziness/balance disorders, electrophysiological assessments of the auditory brainstem, and otoacoustic emissions. Dr. Vertsman has special interest in the management of hearing loss by providing personalized hearing solutions using the latest hearing aid technology.

Dr. Vertsman is a licensed audiologist in New York and New Jersey. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Hearing, and Language Association. Dr. Vertsman joined ENT and Allergy Associates in 2015 as a clinical audiologist.

Dr. Vertsman is fluent in Russian.
